About the artwork: Flora Graeca is the earliest of the modern Floras, with hand-coloured engravings of the plants of Greece and Asia Minor. It is authored by the English botanist John Sipthorp and illustrated by the Austrian botanical artist Ferdinand Bauer. Volume 1 includes the frontispiece with original watercolour vignette.
