Who are the personalities that make Team 1?
Like any other Design Thinking project the team who created Brús the “Bottle Recovery University System” is a mixed bag of personalities. All team members have highly divergent academic, professional and personal perspectives on the world. So we thought we would introduce the team as individuals to highlight how diverse our team is. We begin in alphabetical order.
Our first member is Aoife, a talented Architect with a passion for the promotion of Fab Labs as an Ambassador. Aoife works professionally in an academic environment and spends her days guiding the “architects of tomorrow” in their studies. Much of her days are spent in the college workshops.
Aoife in her own words “I enjoy watching my son grow up”
Emmanuel is our remote colleague based in Dublin we connect with him online. His professional life is a mixed bag of technology and artistic talents. He is a trained accountant and works professionally as an Art Director for an Advertising Company and also worked as a UX/UI Designer for a VR company.
Emmanuel in his own words “I love music, travelling and going out with family”
Next, we have John our perpetual learner and resident academic. His CV is an impressive collection of formal qualifications that include (but are not limited to) a PhD in Plant Biotechnology, a BSc (Hons) in Botany and an MSc in Digital Marketing. He is a successful entrepreneur and works as a Food Innovation and Management Consultant.
John in his own words ” I’m also an unprofessional Taxi for my two kids”
Rose is next, she’s had an unusual career path since leaving Art College many moons ago. She was based in several European countries working in Aviation with roles both on the ground in Airport Operations and in the air as a crew member. Since leaving Airports behind she has taken like a duck to water pursuing creative qualifications in Narrative Design and English Literature.
Rose in her own words “I’d love to speak other languages, Klingon, Dothraki, Elvish”
Last but not least we have Sara. Our Instructional Designer and deadline keeper. Sara has a wonderfully musical Spanish accent (with a Cork lilt) and is highly trained in information technology and holds an MA in e-Learning Design and Development. She also has an interest (and talent) in the more creative disciplines of Digital Media Design.
Sara in her own words “My second full-time job is to rub my dog’s belly”
